At a Committee Meeting held last evening (Monday 12th October) it was decided that Robert Johnson of Mere Brow 'B' team

will be suspended from all league matches until January 27th 2010. He is also suspended from all individual competitions.

There will be a Handicap & Executive Committee Meeting at Banks S.S. club

on Monday 8th December 7.30p.m. to set handicaps Etc.

for the individual competitions and Rickerby Cup. Following this meeting there will be an Executive

Committee meeting.

UK League Snooker are soon to be holding a 5 man team Snooker Competition. Anyone wanting details please contact John Gearie.

The 2009/2010 season will have three divisions, with divisions 1 & 2 having 14 teams each, and division 3 having 16 teams.

The new season will also see a change in the handicapping of competitions. A handicap Committee will meet for each round

of the Rickerby Cup, Birch Pairs and all the individual handicap competitions.

It will also be helpful to all players if they can let John have their telephone numbers. They will the be added to the individual players details and so make contact with any other player in the league less difficult. Because of this Contact Sheets will no longer be sent out.

If you e-mail John Gearie with a 'user name' and 'password' he will enable you to use the

Southport Snooker Forum to send in your score cards (league only).

The result card must reach the Results Secretary by first post Monday morning following the match. Hand delivering the result card later on Monday will result in a late card

If it helps, you can scan your score card and e-mail it to John Gearie or if you prefer you can fax it.

Please note that score cards arriving late are checked for postmark and if found to be posted in time the late card is cancelled.
